Day 1

NJP/Bagdogra to Gangtok Via Sevok-Tista Bazaar
Our representative cordially receives you on arrival at Siliguri (NJP R St. / Bagdogra IXB) and helps you to board the car.

We drive to Gangtok along the NH 31A. The landscape changes dramatically as we leave Siliguri and run through the dense forests Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary, the natural play ground of wild elephant, tiger and deer. Now you reach at Sevok just at the base of the hills. See the gorgeous view of Tista river as it comes out from the deep gorge of the Himalayas and spreads itself in the vast plains on North Bengal. Now the journey follows the winding roads along the meandering emerald green River Tista. Spend some time on some scenic spots on the way to enjoy the landscape. Gangtok the capital town of Sikkim the earlier Himalayan Kingdom welcomes you with its typical traditional Hospitality.

We assist you to check in at hotel. Get refreshed and have free leisure evening. We recommend a relaxed evening and short walk around The Mall to enjoy the typical Hill City life of Gangtok in the twilights. Car Service Till drop at Hotel.
 

Day 2

Gangtok to Tsongo Lake
After a heavy breakfast we take you to famous Tsongo Lake at 12000ft (3600M). We start at 8.30 AM in the morning from hotel. You have whole day to enjoy snow and Yak ride at the scenic high altitude alpine lake near Indo-Tibet border. The 1 km long and 15m deep lake is considered sacred to the local people. The pristine clear water remains frozen during winter. Have fun with snow and enjoy exciting Yak ride around the lake. Back to Hotel by 2.30 PM for lunch and have a leisure afternoon or roam around the market for personal activities. (Optional trip for Indian tourists to legendary Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass on Indo-China border can be arranged on specific days on specific request with add on cost) Car service from 8.30AM to 2.30AM

Recommended activities – Take a ride to Rope way or go for a helicopter Joy Ride over the Himalayas. Evening visit to M G Marg, the busy market of Gangtok, for shopping and having Sikkimese delicacy at the local restaurant.
 

Day 3

Gangtok to Darjeeling Via – Melli – Peshok
After breakfast we proceed to Darjeeling. The first phase of the journey passes through the fascinating river valleys of Tista. Take a refreshing break at the view point near Tistabazaar and watch the magnificent bird eye view of the confluence of both the rivers. Now we proceed via Peshok. The view of the fascinating tea gardens at Peshok with the Kanchenjunga snow range will demand you to stop a while for a refreshing break. From Peshok the road goes through the misty pine forests before you reach Darjeeling. Darjeeling- the Queen of hills – greets you with all its grandeur: The great view of mountains and valleys dotted with tea gardens and forests, and a blend of traditional heritage and modern cultures.

Day 4

Local tour in Darjeeling
Early morning visit to Tiger Hill at 8442ft above sea level to experience the unforgettable sight of Sunrise over the Kunchenjungha Mountains. Visit Ghoom Monastery – one of the oldest Monasteries in Darjeeling and also Batasia Loop – the picturesque garden and War Memorial with the backdrop of snow ranges – on your way back to hotel. Car service from 4.00AM to 7.30AM

After breakfast visit Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday) to see some rare collection of high altitude Himalayan species of Animal like Snow leopard, clouded Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Red Panda and many rare mammal and birds in there nature surroundings. Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday) to see the priceless collection of mountaineering gears used by legendary climbers in the Himalayas. After that we take you to the Tea garden on the undulating valleys for viewing the scenic landscape and tea plucking and processing (seasonal) then proceed to Tenzing rock and Gombu Rock for some fun rock climbing activities. Now we take you to the Tibetan Refugee center (Closed on Sunday) and Bhutia Basti to procure the traditional handicraft items made by the local people. Visit Ava Art Gallery that houses the unique art and embroidery works of Mrs. Ava Devi. Back to Hotel for Lunch. Car service from 9Am to 1PM.

Recommended: Free afternoon to roam around the local market for shopping and a leisure evening at the Mall.
 

Day 5

Darjeeling to Mirik
Today after breakfast we take you to Mirik, a small picturesque hill station at 5100ft (1761m) with a beautiful lake surrounded by forested hills on all sides with the back drop of Mt Kunchenjungha. The drive to Mirik runs through some fascinating tea gardens and pine forests. Enjoy horse ride and boating at the lake. On the way back to Darjeeling visit Pashupati Market in Nepal (need extra vehicle to enter into the market) and also visit to Jorephokri Salamandar project to see the rare specie of Himalayan reptiles. Return to Hotel in the afternoon and have free evening. Car service – from 9.30AM to 4.30PM
 

Day 6

Departure from Darjeeling Via Hill cart Road
After break fast we check out from hotel and drive to NJP or Bagdogra. Tour ends.
