» Day 1
NJP/ Bagdogra to Gangtok.
Our representative cordially receives you on arrival at Siliguri (NJP R St. / Bagdogra IXB) and helps you to board the car.

We drive to Gangtok along the NH 31A. The landscape changes dramatically as we leave Siliguri and run through the dense forests Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary, the natural play ground of wild elephant, tiger and deer. Now you reach at Sevok just at the base of the hills. See the gorgeous view of Tista river as it comes out from the deep gorge of the Himalayas and spreads itself in the vast plains on North Bengal. Now the journey follows the winding roads along the meandering emerald green River Tista. Spend some time on some scenic spots on the way to enjoy the landscape. Gangtok the capital town of Sikkim the earlier Himalayan Kingdom welcomes you with its typical traditional Hospitality.

We assist you to check in at hotel. Get refreshed and have free leisure evening. We recommend a relaxed evening and short walk around The Mall to enjoy the typical Hill City life of Gangtok in the twilights. Car service Till drop at Hotel.

» Day 2
Gangtok to Tsongo Lake
After a heavy breakfast we take you to famous Tsongo Lake at 12000ft (3600M). We start at 8.30 AM in the morning from hotel. You have whole day to enjoy snow and Yak ride at the scenic high altitude alpine lake near Indo-Tibet border. The 1 km long and 15m deep lake is considered sacred to the local people. The pristine clear water remains frozen during winter. Have fun with snow and enjoy exciting Yak ride around the lake. Back to Hotel by 2.30 PM for lunch and have a leisure afternoon or roam around the market for personal activities. (Optional trip for Indian tourists to legendary Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass on Indo-China border can be arranged on specific days on specific request with add on cost) Car service from 8.30AM to 2.30AM

Recommended activities – Take a ride to Rope way or go for a helicopter joy ride over the Himalayas. Evening visit to M G Marg, the busy market of Gangtok, for shopping and having Sikkimese delicacy at the local restaurant.

» Day 3
Gangtok City tour
Today after breakfast we take you to a full day city tour in and around Gangtok. Visit Government Institute of Cottage Industry (Closed on Sunday, 2nd Saturday) where beautiful souvenirs like carpets, hand carved tables (choktses), traditional handcrafts, furniture, hand looms carpets and other products are produced & exhibited for sale. Visit Orchid House to see or buy some rare orchids and ornamental plants. We also take you to Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, which holds world's largest collection of books and rare manuscripts on the subject of Mahayana Buddhism plus many religious works of art and incredibly finely executed silk embroidered Thangkas (paintings). Just beside the institute is the Dodurl Chorten encircled by 108 prayer wheels built by late Trulsi Rimpoche in 1945-46. This is one of the most important and biggest stupas found in Sikkim.

Now we take you to the most important religious place of Sikkim – The Rumtek Dharma Chakra Center, 24kms from Gangtok. Built in 1960 by His Holiness the late 16th Gyalwa Karmapa it is a replica of the original Kagyurpa Monastery in Tsurphu, Tibet, the seat of His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa Rinpoche, head of the Karmapa sub sect of Kargyudpa order of Tibetan Buddhism. It now functions as the headquarters of the Dharma Chakra Religious Centre. Walk to the Shri Nalanda Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies just adjacent to the Monastery Building.

While coming back from Rumtek visit Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden with well tended tropical and temperate plants and orchids. Stop for a while at the Shanti View Point to enjoy the panoramic view of the Gangtok valley. Back to Hotel for lunch. Car Service from 9.00AM to 2.00PM

After lunch have a free afternoon or optional visit to 3 famous view points at Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok from where you can see the panoramic view of entire Gangtok town and valley along with the magnificent Kunchenjungha can be seen. Visit to the temple at Honuman Tok to offer prayer and return to hotel. Car service from 3PM to 5.30PM.

Recommended afternoon activities: Leisure evening walk along the quiet ridge park road and enjoy the beauty of the hills.

» Day 4
Gangtok to Ravangla
Today after breakfast we take you to Ravangla, a small town and sub-division head quarter of South District, situated on the ridge at an altitude of 7100ft (2100M) between the Meanam and Tendong hills. An ideal place for quiet stay to enjoy natural bliss and short treks. The journey to Ravangla provides some fascinating sights of Tista river flowing through a deep gorge walled by dense forest on both sides. Ravangla also offers very prominent view of snow peaks like Mt Pundim and Mt Zupono. Visit Samdruptse, 'The Wish Fulfilling Hill', 8kms from Namchi – where a 135ft high statue of Guru Padma Sambhava, the tallest in the world, was built recently for the Buddhist pilgrims. It took 1000 people to complete this gigantic work in 3 years. The place also offers a vast panoramic view of Namchi and surrounding area. Also visit picturesque Temi Tea Garden on the gentle hill slope, the only tea garden in Sikkim producing high quality tea in the international market. Back to the Hotel in Gangtok. Free evening. Car Service: from 8.30AM to 4.30PM.

Or Gangtok to Phodong excursion (41kms in 2hrs – one way)

After breakfast we take you to Phodong towards North Sikkim. The main attraction in Phodong is one of the oldest Monasteries in Sikkim belonging to the Kargyupa sect of Buddhism. The area around Phodong is known as Tumlong and it was here that the capital existed before it was shifted to Gangtok. The main annual puja is performed on the 28th and 29th day of the tenth month of the Tibetan calendar when the religious Chaams or dances are also demonstrated. The 41kms journey to Phodong via Kabi is also a memorable experience for the magnificent view of the mountains and numerous waterfalls on the way rushing down from the dense forested hills. Spend some relaxed hours at Phodong Monastery and offer prayers. Mingle with the playful young Lamas. Back to the hotel in the afternoon and have a free evening. Car Service: from 8.30AM to 4.30PM.
